Police and military personnel responded to the scene, followed by fire trucks that extinguished the blaze. Both trucks were severely damaged and deemed beyond repair.
According to a police source, the warehouse had been raided earlier this month, leading to the seizure of more than 9,000 liters of smuggled fuel. The location is suspected of being used to store oil smuggled from Malaysia for resale at a profit.

In a related security operation in Yala province on Tuesday morning, security forces shot and killed a suspected insurgent who had barricaded himself inside a house in Sateng Nok sub-district. Acting on a tip-off, military and police units surrounded the residence shortly after midnight and engaged in a standoff that lasted until sunrise.
Local leaders were brought in to negotiate a peaceful surrender, but gunfire erupted from inside the house around 4 a.m., prompting security forces to return fire. Upon entering the house, authorities found one suspect dead, identified as Natruloh Sama, who had three outstanding arrest warrants and was suspected of involvement in bomb and arson attacks on 11 petrol stations earlier this month.
